Follow-up on MR !3012 - Replace scale_sig() by Scale_sig()

# Bug description This is a follow-up to MR !3012 - `Scale_sig()` was there replaced by `scale_sig()`, mainly to check for overflows. It is proposed to revert this again, now that no overflows were detected on the LTVs.
