    Yes, this was a bug that can be triggered when the bitstream starts with SID. This scenario needs the original bitstream (which always starts with few active frames) to be corrupted by frame errors or cutted. This was tested in the past by a dedicated test as it is not straightforward to incorporate this scenario into the self-test. I do not remember what happened with this test though.

    @vaclav @tyagiri yes, there was a dedicated test for these cases before, but I did not yet port it to Gitlab. It is pretty easy to set up, so I can open an issue for that.
