• Add job to check tests when updating basop-ci-branch.

@tamarapu, this merges the updates from !1711 (merged) into basop-ci-branch, adding the job check-compatibility-with-basop-reference-branch. If the MR pipeline passes it should be fine to merge, but please feel free to take a look.
