Reason why this change is needed

The fix in !2434 (merged) seems to break the Stack memory counting in the complexity measurements. A few days ago, a drop in Stack memory was reported in the graphs. When reverting the commit from said MR, the value from before comes back: https://ivas-codec-pc.3gpp.org/-/ivas-codec/-/jobs/657616/artifacts/complexity-stereo-in-ext-out-public/index.html.

None, just STACK memory measurements. Closes #1471 (closed)
