Provide alternative characters for progressbar which are recognized

Related to #7 (closed)

The progressbar crashed the script due to non-recognized characters. Feel free to suggest other ways to resolve this, but replacing the characters solved the issue on my platform (Windows/Powershell, Python 3.9)
