remove UTF-8 BOMs at beginning of files

multrus requested to merge remove_UTF-8_BOM into main

This is a purely editorial change: The BOMs (Byte-order marks) at the beginning of these files are causing issues after the wmc_tool has been applied to these files, and at least gcc doesn't compile anymore
